Household Notebook

Organizing my family on paper was the first thing I did when I became a stay at home mom (SAHM). Organizing my day with a planner helped me to deal with not working. I often wondered what I would do with my time if I didn't work. Now I wonder how I could get everything done with my family and home if I had a job outside of my home.
To the Notebook! There is no right or wrong way to make a Notebook. It is yours, if it functions for you, it is fine. Be sure to buy a Notebook that has pocket(s) inside the front. It's easy to slide things in there until you are ready to file or list in your calendar. Be sure to get clear page protectors, three holed and the opening should be on the side, not the top or bottom, you do not want your papers falling out. I take my Notebook everywhere with me, it's how our family runs and I keep appointments straight and holiday's on schedule.  Print off monthly calendars for the year. Make a sheet of phone numbers, emergency contacts, restaurant contacts (slide menu's inside a clear page protector opposite your numbers). Grocery lists and dinner menu's are all about what is easiest for you to utilize, we all have our different ways when it comes to this. Cleaning check lists consisting of daily, weekly, monthly and seasonally. You now will always know when you last scrubbed out the fridge or replaced the batteries in the smoke detectors.  Password sheet is a must as well, no more forgetting all those irritating passwords!
Once you have your sheets printed off, whether it be from www.organizedhome.com, momstoolbelt.com or one you have created all on your own (kuddos!), you can decide how to divide into your Notebook.
